Experience the stunning beauty of Mongolia on a 2-day tour from Ulaanbaatar to the Khogno Khan mountains, including the mesmerizing Elsen Tasarhai sand dunes and even have the opportunity to go camel riding. Continue your journey to Kharakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, and spending the night at a camp in the heart of nature. After exploring Kharakorum, you will drive back to Ulaanbaatar.

Ulaanbaatar - Khogno Khan mountains (Elsen Tasarhai sand Dunes) - Kharakorum - Ulaanbaatar

Day 1.

Meeting with the Guide and driver.

Transfer to Khogno Khaan mountains (285 kms from Ulaanbaatar). This area represents a unique picture of the natural contrasts combining the Mongolian desert Gobi and landscapes of Hangaj. Accommodation at the Ger camp. Lunch at the ger camp. Visit sand Dunes – ELSEN TASARHAI. Visit ruins of local monastery – Ovgon Khiid.

Continue driving to Kharakorum (80 km) – the ancient capital of Mongolia. Arrival to Kharakorum. Dinner at the camp. Overnight at the ger camp.

Day 2.

Breakfast.

Visit one of the biggest monasteries in Mongolia – Erdene Zuun, founded in 1586. Visit Museum of Kharakorum, where we can learn more in detail the history of the Mongol empire and the importance that Karakorum had in its growth, being not only the capital of the vast Mongol Empire, but the epicenter of commerce throughout the Silk Road.
Visit the local market and pass by the surroundings.

Visit Turkic memorial complex of Khushuu Tsaidam. Visit local museum.

Return driving to Ulaanbaatar city. Box lunch on the way. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
