OGII TOURIST CAMP
Over the last few years since 2000, the "Ogii" tourist camp has became
known for its comfort and quality service among our clients. We are proud to
note that among our clients there are high rank state officials such as the
President of Mongolia, the Prime Minister and Parliament members, as well as
foreign embassy officials, multi national organizations.
The camp is located on the east shore of beautiful
Ogii lake in
Arhangai province, 390 km west
from Ulaanbaatar, from which 310 km road is paved and 90 km is rough.
Oggii Lake is the biggest lake in the heart of Mongolia. It engages 27 square
km of area, has a pure water. The lake abounds in various types offish and
birds, which creates a incredible natural beauty. It also provides a favorable
condition for research work and traveling. For that Ogii lake attracts
travelers, fishermen and nature researchers from Mongolia as well as from
foreign countries. More that 150 types of rare and near rear birds dwell in lake
Ogii. That's way it is a place of special interest for researchers and
naturalists. The variety and the spread offish in the lake are multiple. So it's
most convenient place for fishermen to have a good catch.
Comparatively a more number of birds deliver their birds and spend summer at
Ogii Lake. For this reason Lake Ogii was included in Ramsar Convention in 1999
for the purpose of protecting the environment where the birds deliver their eggs
and spend summer. Here you can watch 178 varieties of 16 tribes of birds.
The Ogii camp provides its guest all conditions of a comfortable stay,
facilitates them to enjoy the wild nature and environment, also we treat about
ecological preservation of our lake and surrounding area. Ogii camp staff-team
directs all its efforts to meeting all kind of guest's need, delivers a friendly
warm care to everyone staying our camp.
The camp is located in the legendary Orkhon valley famous for historical
sites such as Kharkhorin & Erdene Zuu Khushoo Tsaidam, Uigur Har balgas etc.
Those places are within a day drive from our camp, so while staying in our camp
you can do trip by vehicle or on horseback to those famous places.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT TOURIST CAMP:
- The "Ogii" tourist camp is located on the east shore of beautiful
Ogii lake in Arhangai province,

rough.
- Accommodation services: We lodge our guests in traditional
Mongolian ger/ yurts and wooden houses.
- Meals: We serve 3 time lot meals per day. You will be offered a
wide range of Mongolian and European cuisines including fresh fish dishes at
our camp.
Out and indoor barbeque, different kinds of treating meat such as "Khorkhog"
(cooked in churns with hot stones) and "boodog" (cook the animal in own skin
on fire) are available on request.
- Leisure activities: We offer fishing, boating, horse riding, camel
riding and trekking activities at the lake. For this purpose we rent
different boats and Mongolian horses with saddle. In specially carved wooden
ger you can try on Mongolian traditional costumes, take a photo and get a
wide information of the province and local people.
- Camp facilities: The camp is facilitated with space antenna, TV
and video, space communication, modern toilet and shower
